If you hit reply, spend several minutes crafting a reply, then hit submit, it will error on you.
I can copy the text, click back, hit reply again, paste the text, and everything is fine.
It is definitely a timer that is messed up.

Hello Todd,
The timer was added to lower the amount of spam on the forums. It has been running for about 6 months now without issue. I will look into the problem you mentioned. If you or anyone else gets this error, please send me a PM. _________________ Administrator

Ya, it has been doing it to me for a long time.
If you know about it, no problem. I tend to take a long to time type my posts and may be one of only a few (if not the only) person having this issue.
My thinking was that if others are having this trouble, they may give up and not post. I just happen to be both ornery and technical, so I worked around it.
I wonder why phpBB boards get so hammered with SPAM? vBulletin does not have this issue. I know because I run a vBulletin board or two

Yeah PHPBB does seem to get more spam than vBulletin. I have contemplating switching to vBulletin but I'm not sure how well it will work with the NetworkCameraReviews.com site design. The whole site is mixed in with PHPBB so it will be a huge job. I might switch over when I do a site redesign.
Back to the timer though....I'm going to remove it if its causing issues for everyone trying to post. I added some other spam filters so I should be able to remove it without getting pounded by spam again.
I added a couple more spam blockers a couple weeks ago and since then there hasn't been as much spam. _________________ Administrator
