I have XProtect Basis+ and a ceiling-mounted Toshiba IK-WB15A camera.

Unfortunately, the image is inverted in the XProtect software. Changing the camera orientation in the Toshiba software does not have the problem.

Is there a way to invert the video image in this software, or am I 'stuck' with an inverted output?

Thanks.

Hi Mechmaster,

Milestone software will receive and store images from cameras exactly as they are sent, no matter what. Most of the time this doesn't present any trouble, in fact it is good to know the video is not changing in any way, shape or form from the time it leaves the camera to the time it is displayed as evidence.

Unfortunately this model of Toshiba camera is not capable of providing a rotated image to the server. When you view the camera in a browser, or through the Toshiba software, their software is actually rotating the image. The camera itself only provides the image oriented in one direction.

This means that (unfortunately) it is not possible to rotate the image for this camera within Milestone software. I could be mistaken here, but it seems like there is a "ceiling mount" firmware version from Toshiba that provides the image in the correct orientation.
