XProtect Pro + Sony RX550, why can I not use multicodec?

This is somewhat difficult to explain...
I setup XProtect to use MJPEG @ 640x480
It then tells my RX550 to have only a single CODEC (MJPEG).
This previously occurred on my RZ50, but a device pack update fixed this. However, it still occurs on the RX550.
I would like to maintain the multicodec features of the camera because I prefer, when not local to the camera (through Internet), to directly connect to cam and use MPEG4 @ 320x240 for bandwidth (and very simple interface) reasons.
If I force the camera, though its config interface back to dual CODEC, XProtect, on its own, converts to MPEG @ 320x240 and then stretches the image to 640x480 in the recordings and it looks like crap.

I want:
1) XProtect to record MJPEG @ 640x480
2) Connect directly to camera and view MPEG @ 320x240

This combo seems impossible unless I am missing something... which is hopefully the case and why I am making this post.

Thanks!

Perhaps my question is one for calling support? (assuming you have such a thing).
Or I can try to elaborate if my post was confusing.
FWIW, my RX550 is running 2.21 and I tried the latest device driver thingy a few weeks ago.
I even tried hacking the RZ50 file to work with the RX550. Haha, that didn't work so well. I am pretty much not savvy with code of any sort.

Pretty please?
I don't understand the selective nature of your assistance, Josh.
Thanks for help in the past nonetheless.
